Masterfully composed by Louis Vuitton's Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, this fragrance is built around Oud Assam — one of the rarest and most coveted materials in all of perfumery, sourced from the ancient agarwood trees of Assam, India, where resin forms only in trees that have been naturally wounded, a process taking decades. Producing just one kilogram of pure oud oil can require several tonnes of aged agarwood, making it more precious than gold by weight. A rebellious wisp of incense rises like smoke toward the sky, while benzoin balm and rich saffron-warmed leather anchor the scent in mystery and warmth. Resolutely unclassifiable, Ombre Nomade is as intense and enduring as the fire of a setting sun — its trail lingering powerfully for 10 hours or more.
