Geranium Oil

Geranium essential oil is distilled from the botanical  Pelargoniun Graveolens which is native of South Africa and is being grown in Morocco, Madagascar, India and Egypt now a days at a large scale for the commercial purpose. It has herbal, rosy, lemony aroma that is one of the most carrying, loving, comforting of the oils. 

This perennial shrub is often used in the hedgerows and normally stands up to about one miter high.  In Ancient times, this shrub was planted around the houses in order to keep the evil spirits away. The leaves  of the shrub is used for distillation and the oil is derived from the steam distillation method. 

Geranium essential oil is one of the most important and most commonly used ingredients in perfumery, cosmetics and aromatherapy. It is commonly used in massage to treat acne, burns, cuts, bruises, eczema  etc. The aroma of our organic geranium essential oil is very soft, rosy floral character.

It has many Chemical constituents but the main contents are Citronellol(23 -43%) , Geraniol(5-12%) and linalool(4-9%).

Method of Extraction :

It is distilled by steam distillation method of the leaves.
