Sugandhbala, commonly known as Indian Valerian or Tagar, is a perennial herb native to Himalayan region and certain part of India. The plant has a long history of use in traditional medicine systems, including Ayurveda.

Sugandhbala essential oil is derived from Valeriana Wallichi, is believed to have calming and sedative properties, making it commonly used to address issues such as insomnia, anxiety and nervous system disorders. The roots of the plants are typically used for medicinal purposes.

In traditional Chinese medicines ,it is known as Gao Liang Jiang and is believed to have warming properties that can help with various ailments specially related to the digestive and respiratory systems. 

Sugandhbala essential oil is often used in perfumery as its warm and spicy aroma, along with potential anti-inflammatory properties can contribute a unique and exotic fragrance to perfumes.
